Honestly, I think the show could be longer. There is so much info shared in each episode that there just isn't time for. But alas, there are only so many minutes in a half hour!
Have the producers ever considered making it an hour?
Short sale is not something happening that often (or maybe not at all) in Canada. I think we should be thankful that our Canadian banking system is regulated, and although we sometimes hate it when we can't get a ton of credit, it has worked out very well for us.
I have never heard of going one hour, but hey, go ahead and suggest to HGTV
OH ya, short sales take forever. The bank is basically agreeing to write off the bad debt. AND, let the borrower off the hook without penalty. That's why it takes a long time
Sorry Susan, in the US we use a team of realtors to advise.
@Sandra, do you still work as a realtor off camera?
It's kind of fun on set to have the crew guess what house they will buy. Sometimes we love a house that they end up hating! The crew has seen quite a few homes by now and are practically experts themselves.
I am a realtor in the GTA and have a team. I have 2 partners, one buying agent and a licensed assistant.
OMG So people can actually hire you?
We are located in The Kingsway but service as far west as Milton, north as Newmarket, and east to Oshawa.
Did you audition for the show having no previous on-air experience?
Not sure when the new Toronto episodes will start, but I think Jan
We have done 130 episodes now, and to be honest, I am ready to move on to another show. I am hopeful that there will be something fun for me soon. And I hope to be shooting by March
Sometimes a season is 10 mos long, and half of that is in the US. It has been very difficult to travel, and leaving my family and business has been hard.
@Daisy, I agree! Sandra makes the show
Wow, thanks Daisy and Moi
Ya, or Tuscany, Australia, and so on.
Second to Sandra, the interest is the preposterous expectations of the 'virgins!
@Sandra, if I may, your hair looks great!
